Harvested from alpine salt caves and glacial ravines, this salt is unique having a higher mineral composition which gives it a slight "rocky" taste .   Sold in a resealable plastic pouch with clear front and craft paper back.
 
We import a small amount each year directly from the Allgäu region of Bavaria.  Once it is gone, it is gone for that year.
 
Note: This salt contains no iodine or anti-clumping agents.  It is salt in its most basic state.  It is produced by a small family salt works where they mine using pre-industrialized methods.  The grains will be brown to tan to opaque, varying greatly in color and shape.   This is real salt...the way the Alps intended it to be!
